Intro to Valorant (Ages 14-18yrs) Tuesdays @4:45pm-6:00pm
In this 12 week course SOLA Scholars will be introduced to Riot Game’s newest title Valorant. Players will be introduced to new exercises turning their normal gaming routine into pro level practice. They will understand how to work with other players effectively to create the best teams focusing on communication, team work, and sportsmanship. In addition to team building skills players are given a full breakdown of the game’s mechanics and will be introduced to higher level concepts taken straight from the Riot Playbook.

Team Esports - Valorant
Middle & High School Ages 14-18 yrs / Tuesdays's 6:15-7:30pm
Esports Valorant is designed to give each Scholar the feeling of participating in real season-long competitions. With weekly training sessions and daily replay reviews, players of all skill levels will be given individual training techniques catered directly to them. With scholars being divided by skill levels, all Tech Scholars can compete in competitions based on their abilities. All Tech Scholars will leave the course with competition experience and a deeper understanding of incorporating different techniques to improve their gameplay beyond simple time allocation. Participants also enhance their leadership, communication, sportsmanship, and discipline skills with 1:1 coaching and team-building activities. All High-School competitors can compete in the official national High School Esports ‘Valorant’ League, allowing them to leap into careers as professional gamers.
By the end of the course, you will:
Develop team collaboration and balance team composition
Learn and understand gaming basics, terminology, and third-party applications
Learn how to communicate with teammates
Enhancing computer literacy (understanding DPI, Mouse acceleration, Sensitivity)
Be introduced to Esports Tournament Formats and play-ins
Understand how to conduct 1:1 Replay Reviews

Rocket League General (ages 12-18yrs)

Team Esports Rocket League (ages 11-18 yrs)

Team Esports Rocket League
Middle & High School Ages: 11-18 yrs / Wednesdays 6:15PM-7:30PM
Esports Rocket League provides simulated tournament play with fellow scholars using professional equipment. Rocket League welcomes all levels of ability, and this course will incorporate training routines, replay reviews, and one-on-one coaching sessions to advance scholarly skill sets. By using these techniques, all players will learn about the complexities of Esports using the same methods as industry professionals.
Working with fellow scholars, all players will work with two teammates to compete in class-wide tournament scenarios throughout the course. All High-School competitors can compete in the official national High School Esports ‘Rocket League’ League, allowing them to leap into careers as professional gamers.
